Biographical Statement
Enrico Colombatto is professor of Economics at the University of Turin and Director of the International Centre for Economic Research in Turin, Italy. He is also Director of Research at the Institut de Recherches Economiques et Fiscales (IREF) in Paris and is affiliated to the Geopolitical Information Service (GIS) in Liechtenstein. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the London School of Economics, and he is a member of the Council of Public Policy, Munich and Berlin, and Institut de Recherches Economiques et Fiscales. Professor Colombatto has been a visiting professor at the Institute of Governmental Affairs, University of California at Davis; visiting distinguished professor, Faculty of Law, University of Toronto; visiting professor and Vice President of the Council for Graduate Studies, Podgorica University, Montenegro; guest professor at the Universities of Reims, Prague, LUISS (Rome), Paris II, Aix Marseille III, Donja Gorica (Montenegro); Campbell National Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University; and Searle visiting fellow, Northwestern University Law School.
He is the author of hundreds of articles and reviews in scholarly journals, as well as of dozens of books. His last book is entitled “Markets, Morality and Policy Making”.
