Biographical Statement
Associate Professor of Economics at Texas Christian University. He studied Chinese and Economics at Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany and at Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. He received a PhD in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2005. Dr. Tochkov's research focuses on economic growth, regional macroeconomics, productivity, and efficiency. He is particularly interested in the economy of China and other emerging and transition economies. His publications have appeared, among others, in Economics of Transition, Journal of Macroeconomics, and China Economic Review.
