Biographical Statement

Rector of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts; Graduated in 1972 VGIK – Moscow state cinema school and specialized documentary cinema in Rome and Paris; In 1984 he obtained a PhD from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences; In 2003 he completed a specialization course in developing script writing in Denmark; He worked as a DP and a script writer for shorts and documentary director for 15 years; He is the founder of the AFPB – Association of film producers in Bulgaria; He has produced more than 100 documentary and short films and has been honoured with many national and international awards. He has recently been produced a series of documentaries and TV dramas for the Bulgarian national television; Author of 6 books dealing with different aspects of the cinema process.
