Biographical Statement

Lyubomir Stefanov holds a PhD and is an assistant professor at the New Bulgarian University, Department of Politics since 2011. He has been working at the university since 2007 as a visiting lecturer. Currently he teaches courses in the Politics and Society English bachelor’s programme, the BA programme of Political Science Department, the MA European Integration programme and the MA Strategic Leadership programme (in English). His main interests are in the field of EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, Multilevel Governance in the EU, EU’s Operational Programs and Funds, Political Parties, Religion and politics, Political systems, Representative government, Political Communication and Political Institutions. Dr. Stefanov has specialized in US Political Institutions, EU Foreign Policy, Political Systems and Political Parties.

Dr. Stefanov has been taking part in numerous academic and field projects and researches in his area of specialization. He has published several articles examining the Bulgarian party system, US political and party system, EU foreign relations. Dr. Stefanov has considerable expertise in political management, political and commercial PR, corporate consultancy and project management in various fields.
