Biographical Statement

Professor Baker is a Distinguished Professor of NBU, and received the award of Doctor /Honoris Causa/ from NBU. He is also a Professor Emeritus of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, where he was a professor for 22 years. He is the author of 17 books, and over 200 papers. He has helped to build universities in Seville, Madrid, the UK, Bolivia, Azerbaijan, Lesotho and Bulgaria. His connection with NBU extends across 23 years and he moved to Bulgaria permanently in 2008. He has worked with the World Bank, UNESCO, UNEP, and the Fulbright Commission.
