The Sofia Business School modules take place at NBU lecture halls and represent a set of four discrete periods included into a morning and afternoon session. The morning session will comprise an academic lecture, conducted by a renowned international lecturer followed by practical elaboration on the lecture topic during group work (brainstorming). The afternoon session will open up with a workshop focused on debating skills demonstrated by successfully promoting leadership ideas during strategic discussion games closely related to the morning session lecture. The concluding lecture will be presented by a corporate celebrity – a member or partner of Reform Union Club – who will introduce a business issue from his/her experience as a case study.
A tailor-made Sofia Business School conference is scheduled for the first half of the forum. Invitations for participation are provided to state institution representatives, NGOs, research centers in the field of economy and finance, private companies, prominent Bulgarian journalists examining issues closely related to the school topics. The ambition of the conference is to become an accompanying event where foreign lecturers, business representatives and SBS organizers (New Bulgarian University and Reform Union Club) communicate the main ideas and conclusions that have come to the fore in the master class discussions.
The participants who have regularly attended the SBS master classes are expected to develop their own academic or business project (an essay) and present it before the lecturers a month after the school is over. All participants are awarded a Certificate of Attendance of International Master Classes. Those of them who have received special acknowledgment for their papers are entitled to a Certificate of Completion.
